Compound: Each 1 ml contains:

hyoscine butylbromide 20 mg

Auxiliary components: Sodium chloride, water for injections.

Properties: It has a local antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the internal organs (gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, urinary tract), reduces the secretion of the digestive glands. The local antispasmodic effect is explained by the ganglioblocking and antimuscarinic activity of the drug.

Being a quaternary ammonium derivative, hyoscine butyl bromide does not penetrate the BBB, so there is no anticholinergic effect on the central nervous system.

Indications: Acute spasm of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract and urinary organs, incl. biliary and renal colic.

Used as an adjunct in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that may be interfered with by spasms, such as gastric and duodenal endoscopy and radiological studies.

Dosage and administration: Adults and children over 12 years of age:

The content of 1-2 ampoules of Buscopan (20-40 mg) can be administered by slow, intramuscular or subcutaneous injection several times a day.

It is not recommended to exceed the maximum daily dose, which is 100 mg.

Children aged 3 days to 12 years

In severe conditions, a dose of 0.3-0.6 mg / kg of body weight is used by slow, intramuscular or subcutaneous injection several times a day.

It is not recommended to exceed the maximum daily dose, which is 1.5 mg/kg of body weight.

Buscopan should not be used continuously or for more than 3 days without determining the cause of abdominal pain.

Contraindications: -pregnancy;

— lactation period;

— hypersensitivity to hyoscine butylbromide or any other component of the drug.

Precautionary measures: With caution, the drug should be prescribed in the following clinical situations: suspicion of intestinal obstruction (including pyloric stenosis); obstruction of the urinary tract (including benign prostatic hyperplasia), tachyarrhythmias (including ciliary tachyarrhythmia), angle-closure glaucoma.

Side effects: From the side of the cardiovascular system: tachycardia.

From the digestive system: dry mouth.

On the part of the skin and subcutaneous fat: dyshidrotic eczema.

From the urinary system: urinary retention.

Storage method: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
