Clarinase -14 tabs

Clarinase relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis such as:

nasal and sinus congestion sneezing runny nose watery, itchy eyes

Compound: Active substances:

• loratadine 5 mg

• pseudoephedrine sulfate 120 mg

Excipients: • lactose

• sucrose

• corn starch

• povidone

• magnesium stearate

• acacia

• calcium sulfate

• carnauba wax

• titanium oxide

• microcrystalline cellulose

• rosin

• oleic acid

• soap

• talc

• zein

• white beeswax

Clarinase does not contain gluten.

Indications: Clarinase relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis such as:

• stuffy nose and sinuses

• sneezing

• runny nose

• watery, itchy eyes

Properties: Clarinase contains a combination of two drugs, loratadine (an antihistamine) and pseudoephedrine (a decongestant). Antihistamines help reduce allergic symptoms by preventing the action of a substance called histamine. Histamine is produced by the body in response to foreign substances to which the body is allergic. Decongestants cause constriction of blood vessels. This results in the clearing of the stuffy nose.

Mode of application: The recommended dose of Clarinase for adults and children over 12 years of age is one tablet every 12 hours.

It doesn't matter if you take Clarinase before or after a meal.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet before swallowing.

Side effects: • sleep problems

• dry mouth

• headache

• drowsiness

• nervousness

• dizziness

• fatigue

Contraindications: Do not take Clarinase if:

- you are allergic to any of the ingredients

- you have or have had any of

the following medical conditions:

• glaucoma

• difficulty urinating

• severe high blood pressure

• severe disease of the blood vessels

• overactive thyroid gland

- Do not take Clarinase if you are taking or have taken less than 14 days ago monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), medicines used to treat depression.

- Do not take Clarinase if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless you have discussed the associated risks and benefits with your doctor or pharmacist.

-Do not give Clarinase to children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and Precautions: -Before you start taking, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any other medicines or any other substances such as food, preservatives or colorings.

-Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have or have had any medical conditions, especially the following:

• eye problems (such as high intraocular pressure or glaucoma)

• stomach ulcer

• intestinal obstruction

• prostate or bladder problems

• heart disease

• diabetes

• if you are 60 years of age or older because older people may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine.

- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including medicines you buy without a prescription from a pharmacy, supermarket, or health food store.

- Certain medicines should not be taken with Clarinase. These include:

• heart and blood pressure medications

• monoamine oxidase inhibitors, drugs to treat depression

• antacids

• kaolin

Clarinase may affect these medicines or how well they work.

-Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

-Stop taking Clarinase 48 hours before skin testing. Antihistamines may interfere with test results.

Storage method: Store in a cool dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C
