* Properties: Ocuguard LX contains natural calendula flower extract and antioxidants to protect eyesight, restore natural hydration and optimal color definition.

Calendula has traditionally been used for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as its ability to support eye health. This important property is the result of the exceptionally high content of lutein. Lutein is present in photoreceptor cells, in the outer segments responsible for detecting light radiation.

Calendula also contains numerous biologically active compounds such as thiophenes, flavonoids, triterpenoids, and zeaxanthin.

Zeaxanthin is believed to act as a light filter, protecting eye tissue from damage from sunlight.

Vitamin C, vitamin E, and zinc reduce the risk of some serious eye conditions, such as age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. Their powerful antioxidant properties can protect your eyes from free radical damage.

Copper is used by many enzymes that help keep the nervous system working properly. Copper deficiency can cause optic neuropathy, or neurodegeneration, resulting in loss of the nerve fiber layer and consequent loss of vision and loss of color perception.
