Properties: Magnesium is a mineral that plays an important role in maintaining healthy bones. It contributes to increased bone density and helps prevent the onset of osteoporosis.

Magnesium stimulates a particular hormone, calcitonin, which helps in preserving bone structure and drawing calcium out of the blood and soft tissues back into the bones, preventing osteoporosis, some forms of arthritis and kidney stones.

Selenium is a trace mineral needed in small amounts each day. It is well known for its antioxidant properties, which are responsible for its antiviral and anticancer abilities, but it is also important for normal muscle function.

Selenium supplementation augments calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum thus improving skeletal muscle performance. These effects are accompanied by the increased selenoprotein N expression (also known as the Calcium Sensor) in the muscles which could result in increased oxidative stress tolerance in case of long lasting contraction.

Boron is a trace element, which means your body doesn't need large amounts of it. Yet it important because it enables your body to effectively use calcium.
