* Compound: Each suppository contains:
Pipazevat Hydrochloride 10mg
* Properties: Selgon is a centrally acting cough reflex suppressant that also has some peripheral action in non-productive coughs. Begins to act within 10-30 minutes, and its effect lasts for several hours. Selgon has the advantage of being non-addictive, and also does not cause respiratory depression.
* Indications: Unproductive irritating and spasmodic cough; for example, smokers' cough and cold symptoms, which include a non-productive cough.
* Method of application and dose: Children 2-6 years old:
1 suppository 2-3 times a day.
Children 6-12 years old:
1 suppository 3 times a day
* Contraindications: Patients with sugar intolerance.
* Precautionary measures: Selgon may cause drowsiness, so patients who drive or use machines should be warned.
* Side effects: Drowsiness, nausea, anxiety, insomnia, urticaria.
